krotix In 1978 I got into post punk and I was already 19. I saw Kiss, Roxy Music, early Queen, but that first Ramones show took me to a more exciting place.

Wild Wing reminds me of the early wave of bands who were as different as could be from one another. Bands like The Brains, Wall of Voodoo, XTC. This band reminds me that eclectic is fun. Favorite track: Killing Joke.

Track Name: Momma's Got a Brand New Bag
Momma’s got a brand new bag she said, she said momma’s got a brand new bag
Spent all the money that she had she said, she said she spent all the money that she had
Has a good job and she brings home the bacon, thought she was a cop but you were mistaken
Better treat her right cuz she’s never fakin’, doesn’t need to ask if it’s all for the takin’

Momma’s got a brand new, momma’s got a brand new, Momma’s got a brand new bag
Spent all the money that she, spent all the money that she, spent all the money that she had.
Track Name: Killing Joke
His name was Jesus and he was my son
Fucking savages look what you’ve done
Shot down by a cop with a gun
Shot down by a cop with a gun

Whatcha gonna do when they come for you
Whatch gonna do watcha gonna do
Whatcha gonna do when they come for you

Better not step out of line
Or they’ll knock of your block
Make you get down on your knees
And you suck on their cocks

Put your hands up against the wall
Assume the position
Don’t try any funny business
Or you’ll see a mortician
Track Name: Triumph
I see my fate in my dreams
(Triumph, triumph)
I wanna be the only one
Legacy, legacy, let me see legacy
While you all waste away

I am him, I am him

Holy ghost, say my name
I wanna be the only one
Legacy, legacy, let me see legacy
Stay asleep in your bed

I am him, I am him
Track Name: Me N' Mine
Me, I finally see, there’s no one else to be
I arrive to find there’s no one else alive
You can’t disagree, there is only me
How fine it is to feel, that no one else is real but me
I finally see, there’s no one else to be
I arrive to find there’s no one else alive

A shrine to myself
I drink to my health
Steppin’ on your back
Steppin’ in to Cadillacs
So fine the way I shine
How you pine for what is mine all the time
Baby all the time

A dark black hole inside I fill with a sense of pride
That comes with your love for me, that comes tinged with jealousy
Well winners win and losers lose, it isn’t up to me to choose
Get your foot into the door, and have you tried not being poor?
And I am all the proof you need, that you’re just not meant to succeed
And I am your excuse for greed, and all the self-help books you read

Me and mine oh baby all the time

Me, I finally see, there’s no one else to be
I arrive to find there’s no one else alive
Track Name: Ontario
People here want to take some pictures
See if they can’t find what’ll scratch the itcher
Might be the kind who’ll make a rich man richer

Alone at the rock n’ roll show
Goddamn, I’m in Ontario

Some people aren’t to be trusted
Some made it out and others busted
It’s what I loved and what you lusted

Was it real, so long ago?
And did it make you feel? I’m afraid to know
Will you miss that part of you once you’ve given it away
I hated being there but what I wouldn’t give to go back to that day

Cuz this one’s ending
And I never been that much for spending
Go on now, keep on pretending
Track Name: Runaround
Why do you gotta run around baby, and be untrue

Why do you gotta run around baby, and be untrue
Why do you gotta run around baby, and make me blue, you make me blue
What am I supposed to do? Turn right around and find someone new?
I know it’s a cryin’ shame, gotta find someone new to scream my name

Why do you gotta run around baby, and be untrue
Why do you gotta run around baby, with you-know-who, I always knew
By the way you walk, struttin’ your stuff like a cluckin’ peacock
I guess I better get checked, ain’t no use acting like a reject

Why do you gotta run around baby, and be untrue
Why do you gotta run around baby, I can’t get through, through to you
But that’s ok, bound to find a better lady one of these days
I’m always up for a chase, looking for love don’t have to be a race
Track Name: Dark Ages
Dark Ages
On the front pages
Outrages, get me out of here
The future is over now zero’s the year

Life should be more exciting
Well, life should be a lot of things
Something’s gotta give I say
We’re thinking ‘bout the good old days
1999 well, hell, that could have been the time
Guess we’ll just decline into this cool new paradigm

Sittin’ with the friendly folk
And watching it go up in smoke
I can burn my resume
Cuz we’ll live the old-fashioned way
Feelin’ mighty fine and we’re just waiting for a sign
Have a glass of wine and we can watch the water line
Track Name: State of the Art
Come on, I’m beggin’, just give me the truth
What have I done to deserve this abuse
I worship you at your altar each night
No god before you, no earthly delight

What’s on TV
My god knows me
What’s in my heart
State of the art

I need your comfort in this time of doubt
Look in my eyes, say it’s all workin’ out
The heretics they surround on all sides
Turn up the TV and drown out their lies.
